Spanish Raptors

Set within 2,800 acres of predominantly wetland in central Spain, is a private estate with multiple, purpose-built, photography hides designed to capture the rich and diverse birdlife found in this area. We have chosen a time of year when the many birds of prey are at their most prolific. We aim to see Goshawk, Bonelli’s Eagle, Marsh Harriers, Black and Red Kites and several more. There are also a number of small but equally interesting species that we may see during our visits, such as Spotless Starlings and Kestrels. The specially constructed hides in this unique location meant that you will be able to get really close to the action.

In the second part of our journey, we will be looking specifically to photograph the Golden Eagle and the Spanish Imperial Eagle. This is set in a very different habitat where we will be shooting across undulating hills on higher grounds. Here. we may see other raptors too, such as Black and Griffon Vultures.

Most days we will work in different hides from early in the morning until late afternoon, to capture as many species as we can. In total, we will be out photographing 6 out of this 7-day trip. It will be an intensive trip with much of our time spent in the hides recording impressive raptors.
