Patagonia Untamed

Torres del Paine National Park, in the heart of Chilean Patagonia, is renowned not only for its dramatic, awe-inspiring landscapes but also as the best place to see and photograph one of the most elusive of all big cats: the Puma.

We have designed a considered and accessible approach that enables photographers to work more comfortably. With their deep local knowledge, our highly experienced South American colleagues and trackers will locate the subjects first, allowing us to approach calmly and at a pace that suits both photographers and wildlife alike.

To make the most of our precious time in Torres del Paine National Park, we will stay in Cerro Castillo for the full duration of the trip, rather than spending extra days in Punta Arenas as most tours do at the start and the end of the trip. This enables us to incorporate a couple of days to focus on the magnificent landscape.

Beyond Pumas, the park offers a rich tapestry of wildlife encounters. Guanacos roam the open plains, Andean Condors soar overhead, and the ever-changing Patagonian light transforms mountains, glaciers, and turquoise lakes into extraordinary photographic subjects. Time is built into the itinerary to immerse ourselves in this vast, untamed landscape and capture its scale and mood.

This unhurried but focused photographic tour offers a rare opportunity to experience Patagonia at its wildest, observing and photographing iconic wildlife while absorbing the raw beauty of one of the world’s last great wildernesses.
