Magical Masai Mara
Join us for an unforgettable adventure as we embark on a special visit to the world-famous Masai Mara, one of Africa’s most renowned wildlife reserves located in Kenya. This exclusive trip is limited to just three guests per vehicle, ensuring you receive personalised attention and support throughout your journey.
Our eco safari camp is made for professional wildlife photographers and nature photo enthusiasts. Located within Maasai Conservancy land, it is minutes away from the border to Masai Mara National Reserve. The accommodation consists of typical safari tents. While basic, it is clean and comfortable and comes with private bathrooms including a shower, washbasin, and flushing toilet. There is a separate dining tent where the chef and camp staff will serve you safe and delicious food. This is a no-frill base camp with an emphasis on great photography.
One of the most important things when it comes to a successful safari is to have good guides. Our guides are specially trained by professional photographers and understand what is required to attain good wildlife images. They will always work hard to give us the best opportunities to get the best possible shots, from the early mornings to the late evenings. They are exceptionally skilled in tracking animals, reading the situation, predicting what will happen next, and positioning the vehicle optimally for photography. All the guides’ mother tongue is Maasai (Maa), and they speak Swahili and English fluently.
To enhance our wildlife photography opportunities, we will be equipped with a specially adapted 4×4 vehicle with large, unobstructed sides for low-angle photography. This will enable us to capture stunning images of iconic African wildlife such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and more, in their natural habitats. With the guidance of an experienced Masaai tracker, we will have the ability to follow the action and where possible, go off-road (please note that this may not always be possible). This will allow us to get closer to the wildlife and capture breathtaking moments that others may miss.
You will receive guidance and support throughout the trip, ensuring you have the best possible opportunity to capture outstanding shots, whether you are a seasoned photographer or new to wildlife photography.
Each day, we will have two sessions at either end of the day when the animals are most active and light is at its best. Depending on your arrival and departure flights, we can have up to 18 game drives on this trip. This promises to be an extraordinary adventure, providing you with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the magic of the Masai Mara up close and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Amboseli Extension
Nestled at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park is world-renowned for its breathtaking scenery and its remarkable population of African elephants, the largest in Kenya. Nowhere else will you find such majestic herds roaming freely across the plains, framed by Africa’s highest peak.
Amboseli, the ‘Land of the Giants’, is also home to the legendary super tuskers: mighty male elephants whose enormous tusks each weigh over 45 kg (100 pounds). These rare and iconic giants, with fewer than 30 left in all of Africa, are most often found in Amboseli and Tsavo.
As an optional extension to our Magical Masai Mara trip, you’ll spend three unforgettable days photographing these magnificent elephants and the park’s many other inhabitants. We will also be seeking to spend some time with one of Amboseli’s most famous super tuskers, perhaps even on foot.
Our base will be a beautiful lodge, perfectly located within the park for easy access to the wildlife and to maximise your time in the field.
